TEPMARE OI was created in June 2013 by Mohamed FANNAN and Gilles FAVEYRIAL, to specifically develop the transport of goods from mainland France to the Indian Ocean zone (mainly Reunion Island). This activity was added to that of the sister company of the same name created in 1990 by Gilles FAVEYRIAL and David KIMELFELD. Since then, with its strong presence in the Indian Ocean, TEPMARE OI has rapidly become a major player in the region.
The structure has prospered to become a key player among independent consolidators operating on Réunion Island.
In January 2024, the arrival of a new shareholder, Brahim Fannan, made sense, complementing the founding duo.

June 2013 – Creation of TEPMARE OI by Gilles FAVEYRIAL and Mohamed FANNAN, with the head office in Saint-Paul, Réunion (974).
June 2020 – Opening of the first agency in mainland France, located in Rive de Gier (FR 42), to manage operations for shipments to Réunion Island.
January 2024 – Launch of the LYON Confluence branch to expand operations globally.
April 2024 – Rebranding to EXMARE.
